Rachel's Angels kicked off its new drug education program to the classes at Ellet Middle School in Akron, Ohio on Friday, April 29.
“Angels” or student ambassadors of the program have been trained to present the curriculum. Students talking with students provides an open and meaningful dialogue which encourages them to discuss and share real-life issues related to the drug epidemic. On Friday, 2 of our "Angels" presented the program to 5 different classes of 4th to 7th graders. Every class has a chaperone and it was attended by Cindy DeMaio (President of Rachel's Angels) as well as the developers of the program.
This new, updated program features a lot of student interaction and gives them the opportunity to ask questions and get involved.
